Welcome to Bugzy's Blog

Greetings Everyone!   Great to be conversing with you.  Bugzy here.  And this is my blog.  OK, you already knew that.  But you must be wondering what am I going to write about?  I'll be writing about the library certainly, but also about the staff, the community, and some other things.  It will be a G rated blog too, so kids can read it.

Some things about me.  I came to be with the North Dearborn Branch in the late summer of 2012.  What a busy summer that was!  I watched all the workers and the staff work very hard to get everything done and looking good.  So many people helped out.  I wish I could have helped put the books back:  with four arms, I could have gotten twice as much done!!

It's been really great being at the library.  I love it when kids come by and hug me and kiss me.  It lights up my day.  And I love it when people have their picture taken with me.  I must be a celebrity.

It is great to have four arms.  I can hold four books at the same time, although I have only two eyes.  Ever try to read one book with one eye and another book with the other eye?  It's kind of impossible.  But four arms are great to hug people with.  And good for doing several things at once.  More on that later.  But it did not give me any advantage when I played sports.  I can only use one bat playing baseball.  And wear only one baseball glove.  You probably don't know this, but I can swim as fast a dolphin.   I can!  I twirl my tail around like a propeller and ZOOOM!

I have lots of family and friends.  I will tell you more about them later on, I promise!

I do love wearing my Converse all star Chuck Taylor athletic shoes.  They are very comfortable.  You know how it goes--you find a comfortable pair of shoes and stick with it!  I'll bet YOU don't have any orange sneakers.

I have seen a lot of children and parents in the library talking about going back to school.  Sounds like fun!  I love to learn new things.  The library is your gateway to the future!  A library card is the most important school supply you can own.  Need some information for homework, or just a quiet place to work?  Stop in at the library.  Bring the whole family!  How many places can you all enjoy together!  For free!

One more thing:  people ask me what is my favorite children's movie or DVD to watch?  It is the Muppet Show.  They are so sweet and funny.  I love all the characters, especially Kermit.  Why?  For one, we are both green......
